Customer service is king. Always has been. I am sure you have been most impressed by those companies that actually make you feel like a valued customer through the delivery of efficient services, information, and of course the result we called them for!

For very large organisations, it can be difficult to ensure consistency of information being provided to customers leading to an enhanced customer experience. They have multiple sites, many contact centres and ever changing products and services.

Fortunately, our client has solutions to bring together the whole suite of customer-facing channels (e.g. telephone, social, web, email, over-the-counter) to ensure that your front-line staff can respond, act and deliver on customer requests in a cohesive and consistent manner……

We are very pleased to present to the Brisbane market a key opportunity with our US-based client for a Linux Engineer with smarts – we are looking for someone passionate about putting together and automating robust, highly available application environments built on Linux and Oracle with many integration points.

To go into more detail, the technology stack we are looking for experience is below. The only aspect we would say is mandatory is Linux, Apache and ideally AWS. The other stuff we can teach you.

Linux (RHEL) - ESSENTIAL
Apcahe / Tomcat
Oracle exposure
Chef / Optools (or maybe Puppet)
Exposure to scripting – ideally Ruby (for automation purposes)
Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) highly desirable
Ability to create small web-apps in Java (desirable)

As you can see, quite the diverse mix of skills listed here – you really don't have to have everything listed above just Linux, but if you are reading this list and have touched upon any of the additional points, and think this is a role you could excel in pick up the phone or send an email to Adam today.

The role has leadership and mentoring from one of the best Linux minds in the business. You will have access to their global Training Academy on the products and technology stack. Not only that, you will have an opportunity going forward to travel the world with the company and work on projects across APAC, Europe and lots happening in the United States.
